Attend Anywhere Video Consultations

We now are able to offer video consultations to patients who have difficulty in attending the surgery. This could be due to work commitments or mobility issues. As a general rule this is appropriate for any problems that you think you will mainly have to talk about and if you think a GP will need to touch or examine you then it is not suitable for a video consultation. Please ask our receptionists if you would like to book a video consultation. FIND OUT MORE HERE

Patient Participation Group

Our patient participation group is always looking for new members - Do you fancy helping influence what happens at your local surgery - please join our PPG - contact reception for more information.  PPG information also available via our PPG Facebook page

fb   Our PPG now has a facebook page to keep up to date with developments at the surgery - click here to see!

Email Communication

We hope to start sending communication and letters to patients via email.  These will include letters and reminders inviting patients to clinics and appointments at the surgery, patient newsletters and other similar letters. This may also include other communication from the practice.  Download the form by CLICKING HERE and either post it or hand it in to the practice.

Mobile Numbers

We want to ensure we have an up to date mobile number for all our patients.  Please get in contact with the surgery to advise us of any changes, in particular any children over 13 years of age whose primary number is currently their parents.  At the age of 13, we delete mobile numbers from their file (not home numbers) to avoid confidentiality issues as children grow to adulthood.  If they have their own number-  please let us know so we might update our records

Missed Appointments

Missed appointments are still a huge problem at the practice with many missed appointments resulting in wasted GP and nursing time.  When there are people trying to get appointments and failing this is really unacceptable.  Please remember to cancel your appointments as early as possible (although we can often even fill a cancelled appointment even at a few minutes notice!).  This can be done:

1. Via the text message reminder for your appointment - please ensure you don't reply directly but use the number provided
2. Via the practice website - there is a link on the website which will allow you inform us of a cancellation
3. By email -nhsg.stonehavencancel@nhs.net

Please provide your name and date of birth and the date and time of appointment s when sending via email or practice website.
